All our charters are 6 hours fishing time plus travel time. this provides you with plenty of opportunity to chase and catch your chosen fish.
We can pick up at most public wharves along Pittwater but the best pick up point is Taylor's Point Wharf, Taylors Point Road, (off Hudson's Parade) Clareville . Some GPS will list this as Avalon, Google Maps shows it as Clareville but it's the same place so just try either Suburb name when searching.
Our start times are early and we like to leave at sunrise for inshore / estuary charters and before sunrise for offshore charters. We'll confirm the exact time with you the night before your charter once we've received an updated weather forecast.
We tend to find that the fishing is better early in the morning for a lot of the species we target. This means you have a better chance of catching your chosen fish as there's also less boat traffic and noise.
We supply all relevant equipment for your day whether it's an inshore or offshore fishing adventure, including tackle, lures and bait but you're welcome to bring your favourite rod and reel if you prefer. Just let us know the night before your charter.
Depending upon the charter, the fishing equipment may include: light squiding rods, rods for soft plastics, heavy rods for catching kingfish, game fishing rods and Shimano reels. We have provisions for your frozen bait (if applicable) and a live bait well to keep your bait fresh.
We also of course provide you with a recreational fishing licence for the charter and a friendly, helpful skipper (just look out for his 'Dad' jokes ;))
For your comfort, we provide cold soft drinks and water, freshly cooked chicken and light snacks such as chips, lollies and muesli bars. If you forget to pack it, we'll also have sunscreen on the boat.
If the fish you catch are over the NSW legal length (which varies by species), then you are most certainly able to take your fish home with you. Please be aware however, that NSW Fisheries has specific bag limits for many species within NSW which we abide by.
Your catch will be despatched and bled on board, then packed into a bag and kept on ice in the esky until the end of your charter.
NSW Fisheries unfortunately does not allow us to fillet your catch at sea. We'd be more than happy to offer guidance to help you get the best cut from your catch.
Booking a spot on a charter is easy! Either give us a call on 0410 633 351 and pay your deposit over the phone or send us a message through our Contacts
page and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
Please note that Peter is often out on a charter and will be out of phone range so if he doesn't answer straight away, just leave a message and he'll call you as soon as he's back on shore.
They sure are! Kids always have a great time on board our charter, and if your child loves fishing, I'm sure they'll have a great day out. We do find that children under 8 years of age do tend to tire easily and 6 hours can be too much for them.
Providing you're able to keep them amused and awake (should it get too much for them), please do bring them along. We unfortunately don't have anywhere for them to comfortably lay down and sleep.
Deposits to secure a spot on the charters is $50 per person and can be paid via credit card over the phone,
The remainder can be paid by credit card the night before when we contact you to confirm your charter, or you can pay us the remainder in cash on the day.
Cancellations of less than 7 days will forfeit your deposit of $50 per person. Every effort will be made to fill your spot in which case we'll happily provide you with a full refund.
Our vessel is surveyed for 8 persons but to ensure there's plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the day, we book a maximum of 5 persons on each charter.
Some of our charters do have a required minimum to go out, so please be sure to check with us if you're not booking the full boat. If this is the case, we'll do our absolute best to fit you in with a suitable group and get you out on the water.
You sure can! Just let us know the date and type of charter you're interested in and we'll do our best to fit you in with another group, or if we can secure others to fill the boat, create another charter for you.
Yes you can, but we strongly suggest you speak with your Doctor or Pharmacist to get the best advice to combat this problem and for advice on which tablets will suit your situation. Please be aware that some sea sickness tablets can make you drowsy! It's important to read the directions and only take them as directed.
Absolutely! Some people have a 'lucky rod' they always fish with and you're most welcome to bring it on board. Just make sure you let us know the night before your charter if this is your intention so we can make space on the boat for it so it doesn't get damaged and so we don't pack any for you.
Sorry, due to Work Health & Safety Laws we are unable to allow alcohol on the vessel. Most charters will have you returned around lunchtime and we'd be happy to drop you at a local establishment should you wish to do so.
Your safety and enjoyment is our number one priority so we are vigilant to ensure conditions are optimal. The following conditions are deemed not suitable for a charter: </br>
Winds above 15kn.
Rain: If there's passing showers the charter will still operate, however if there's continual rain - the choice will be totally up to you whether you'd like to go out or reschedule.
Winds above 15kn, sea and swell 2 mtrs and above and wave distance 6 seconds or less apart.
We will call you the night before your charter between 7pm and 8pm which is when we receive the last and latest weather forecast. This is a good time to tell us if you plan on bringing any of your own fishing equipment and to finalise the remainder or your charter fee (if not finalising in cash the following day).
Yes we do, and after payment we'll email it to you. Simply pick a charter you feel the recipient would enjoy and pay in full via credit card over the phone. Our certificates are valid for 12 months from purchase date.
No, they can choose a different charter from the website of equal value or pay the extra on the day if there's a difference in price.
